Family versus Career

<--- this is my star and ^^ that is my problem. Why do we women always have to hang in this scale? Equal justice b/w home and work. I don't know how many here have a family. By that I don't mean father and mother, coz they r the ones who pamper us and make everything in our life so easy without us knowing the existance of this scale. By family I mean husband and children. Have u ever imagined what a regular day is like in a married and working woman's life?

If she's a worshipper, she'l wake up at fajr for prayers, then probabaly get ready for work, wake her children n husband, dress the kids, make breakfast for the whole family, drop the kids to work (I badly needed a full stop here). Then work work work till 2/3 pm, go to pick up kids, prepare lunch and put the children for an afternoon nap/ school homework time(yes another full stop). Spend some time with the kids n husband uptill 6 pm and then prepare dinner, put children to bed and give husband some company before going to sleep (finally the last one).

Can u imagine everyday routine as hectic as this. Most of u might have maids but does that make it any easier?? I don't think so. It helps having a helping hand but u can't say u rule the world with this schedule.

And if we plan to drop one of our family/career? We will be davastated before we reach a desicion. It's a tough life for women out there and it's a tough desicion. For those of u keeping up with both... I(and u better join me in this) give a THUMBS UP!!! Yes, it's not mothers day nor womens day, but it should be one everyday in our lives.:)

An Indonesian maid has been jailed for six days in Hong Kong for serving her boss a cup of water containing urine, a newspaper reported Wednesday.

A recent surge in crimes by maids is seen in newspapers today. In the past one year, I have read abt maids murdering their sponsors children, trying to kill their sponsors, hitting children brutally, running from home, envolved in adultry etc
However, this ,unfortunately, is just one side of the story.

On the other side the newspapers are equally filled with news of maids commiting suicide, being raped, murdered, physically tortured, etc

I have also seen some home keepers who live like equals in their sponsors homes, treated exceptionally well.

I beleive that the majority of these crimes arise due to sponsors' ill behaviour with their house keepers. Though, a lot of people around me, who have maids, say the opposite.

Harry Harry Harry when will you die mate?

I don't know how many over here are fans of Harry Potter,HP. But definetely not all. In the past few days, since the book came out, I have read some of the most thought provoking alegations against Potter. Not from Snape , though, but from some of my net friends.

Talking abt the last bok of Jk Rowling. I couldn't wait to buy one in Kuwait. So got the Pirated copy from the net. I have been reading it day and night since the past 3 days. And my Bro knows that pretty well.

For Potter fans out there, it's a continuation of the same magical power they had experienced 6 times before. Infact, Rowling doesn't give away all the secrets until the end. The novel puts your patience to test. But u can always read the pros of the novel in history.

I'd like to note some of it's cons. Firstly, I felt the whole mystry of the dethly hallows and horcruxes, unravelled at the end was soo confusing. Secondly, the end was like Indian movies. The villian is shot dead by the hero, he gets married to his love, has children and live happily ever after.

I think, I'd have prefered him dead. I as a reader felt that Potter got too manychances to get away from Voldemort just like another Indian movie hero. HarryPotter!

Driving in Kuwait ?

This is the accident that I saw on the 6th Ring Road going to work today morning. I wonder how this happened? The head of this truck is on the other side of the road and the rest part on the road thats going to Jahra. What speed must he be driving that the vehicle skid off the road hit the cement barrier and went to the other side. Driving here is crazy, makes me scared and think that I should get off the 200km/hr mark I am on every day.

I know I drive fast but in seven years I only had 1 bad accident which was my mistake. I guess I am better than people who are having 6 in 2 years, hehe. I know how and where to control my speed. I don't drive like those maniac on our streets but sometime I admit I go really wild. But thats only once in a blue moon.

Internet connection, laptop or What ?

There is something not right with my laptop today. Everytime I click on any of the internet links it takes me to eshda3wa's blog. It's really annoying as I can't do any work or have access to any of the sites. I don't know whether its my internet connection or something wrong with my windows. I just hope my laptop is not affected with any virus. I don't like such issues first thing in the morning when you have a long day to go at work. I guess it's just not my day today.

Now this is something I need all my readers advice on.......

I am not that old in this blogsphere but I have noticed a very annoying thing among a few bloggers. Before starting my own blog I used to visit a few blogs daily and comment on the topics I felt interested me.

Just recently I have noticed that a few bloggers started ignoring my comment on their blogs. I mean they will reply to all the others except me. WHY? ? ? I just simply don't get it. Is there a jellousy among other people towards me? ? I don't think that can be possible because I still feel that they are far much better than me and they have been here for 2 years or more blogging with much more ways to make their blog special to their readers.

I am always happy when I log on my msn and I get a message saying that I have this many e-mails. The first thing that comes in me is a feeling of happiness that I have readers who felt my post was worth reading and have expressed their thoughts on it.

It really disturbed me for a while and finally I came up to this conclusion that I won't be visiting or posting my comment on their blog any more.

What would you do if you were at my place? (Would you kill them? :D joking). Has anyone been in the same sittuation before?

Harry Potter is out in cinema's as of today, I heard it's a nice movie and I was waiting for this movie for a while. I will be posting the review once I watch it.

Flushed Away

This is what happend with my travel plans. After planning for all the business meeting in London and USA, I finally got to know that they don't have a budget to pay for it. Screw them!!! I work in a multinational company and if they won't have the budget then who will? And why are you sending me the invitation letters and hotel bookings in the first place if you don't have a budget?

ewww my mood is all :/

So I decided I will be taking a personal vacation and going to USA, Canada and London in October.....

3 Hours of waiting and 2 Mins to process

Even though I love travelling but I hate waiting in the long lines of visa applicants. And to all those people who jump queues I feel like dragging them out and kicking them. I wonder why people don't have patience here.

Today morning I reached British Embassy at 8:15AM. My number was 48. I thought that it shouldn't take long but to my surprise I had to wait 3 hours. Why??

Because, there are employee's from the travel agents and they have a bag full of passport, I am not joking one big bag with atleast 15 - 25 passports. Why can't they have a seperate queue for people with that many passports? I feel bad for the aged Kuwaiti men and women who were sitting there with one or two passports and had to wait like 2 hours before their turn comes.

Its funny to see how some personnel's from the military services tried to jump the queue and they were asked to wait or leave. I loved that part! Atleast one place in kuwait where there is no wasta :pPp

Finally my turn came at 10:45Am and after checking my papers I was asked to come the next day to collect my passport, which took no more than 2 mins.

What a hectic job to start your day with....

m&m (Me & Mobile Phones)

Over the past 7 years I have spent alot of money on buying and selling mobile phones. I would say I am a very picky person when it comes to any kind of gadgets. I need them to be perfect the day I get them in my hand. And as we all know thats not the case when a mobile phone is launched at first in the market. It takes usually a few days till the final version is lauched or sometimes a few months too. I used to have a craze to be the first one in kuwait to have the best and latest phone in my hand without caring how much extra I would be paying to get it.

My craze for moble phones minimized last year when one day I sat and was calculating and I realised I have lost nearly KD 5000 +/- in five years. That was alot for me when I thought about the KD's. I could have spend that money in something better. So today I decided to list all the mobile phones I have bought till date.

Crazy Night with Adriana Lima

I came across this picture yesterday on Sugar Land's blog and been having crazy nightmares since then all night long. I just couldn't get her off my head for some reason and couldn't sleep well. Left home early for work and the first thing I did after I reached was to look at her picture again on the blog and then a search on her :P I hope she doesn't sue's me for that,hehe.

She really looks scary in the above picture but after I did a google search on her profile and found that she is a cute Brazilian supermodel.

How many of us remember the above logo of MIRC? ? For me, I am using this chatting software since 1998 before I moved to London.

I remember having a huge craze for chatting back then when I first got my internet connection after my parents approval. They never agreed on me having internet at home as they thought it has a bad effect on the kids. Well it does beacause when I got my connection I started chatting :pPp Soo there you go...... :D The craze of chatting is so bad that you can spend hours and you won't feel like moving away from it especially when you are chatting to an opposite sex. I am writting this post and laughing because it reminds me the amount of lies people are on about there. It's a totally new world of people that you see there.

So, my question here is how many of us are into chatting? Do you think it's good or bad? Do you think people chat for fun or other activities? What's the motive behind chatting? If you chat alot..how many hours do you spend daily/weekly? Do people end up in relationships from there?

Travel Plans

I will be travelling end of this month for a week. It will be a short break but I am really looking forward to it. I am a person who prefers more of short breaks. I really wonder how can people leave their country and go for vacation for more than a month. I will be visiting alot of mountain regions and a few earth quate devastated area's. I am really excited about it and will be posting alot of pictures when I am back. I guess thats a b'day gift for me from my parents. They want to take me to this beautiful hotel in between the mountains and celebrate my day there. I am more excited about the place than the day I turn a year older.
